Always Real, Never Fake

Yesterday after the last show we made a quick stop at Bonsai to pick up our super cheap ridiculously expensive Christmas Tree...I mean seriously. It was MY first time driving the tree home! Daddy picked Hailey up at Grams and Gramps and met Lauren and I at the tree place. I was a bit afraid I would look back and see the tree in the road getting smashed by an 18 wheeler or something. But we made it home, all of us, tree included!

We always get a real tree, and I mean always! I can honestly say I don't think I will ever buy a fake one and you can hold me to that! Daddy brought the tree in and we got it in the stand, filled it with water, and spent the rest of the evening on the couch. Ooops. usually we light it after the girls go to bed so it is ornament ready the next day, but this week really kicked us in the hineys (and lower backs, and brains) so we did NOTHING.

On to today... we all got decked out in Holiday finest stayed in our PJ's and decorated the tree! Lauren did 3 days worth of Homework, we made Potato skins and now they are watching The Santa Claus (Lauren's favorite holiday movie).

I do wish I was a better photographer and this was taken during the day but it is WAY prettier in our house than it is in this picture. I suppose I should try to take another picture. if I do I will replace this one!

I had some catching up to do today...so if you haven't already stopped by...there are a couple new posts below this one too!

Beautiful tree! Good job getting it home in one piece! I think I would have been a nervous wreck the whole way!

Wow! That is one tall real tree and beautifully trimmed! Perfect location in the house!

Seeing the pic of it on your car made me think of a line from that famous Christmas poem - 'The stockings were on the bumper with care in hopes that St Nick drives a real fast Corvette'

I have a "really" tree! Really good bargain at Walmart's after Christmas sale - 75% off and lights up by itself. It has that earthy stored in the basement dusty fragrance. Ummmmm

You make me a little nostalgic for when we used to buy real trees. The boys would probably love it..maybe next year. I bet your house smells really good.
