Wordless Wednesday

See you tonight!

Wordless What?

Ok, so it is wordless Wednesday but I am not feeling very wordless. I have a lot on my mind that I want to post about and so many drafts in the works and...I am thinking about things like bedtimes, cookie cutters, thyroids, sponsors, good thoughts factory, my daughters emails, golfing with Hailey, "his" blackberry theme sales, boosting readers on Tales from the nightstand, all the books I want to read, transitioning to Wordpress and my name change (Have I mentioned that yet? I am working on it -slowly), the man that told me sitting on my thumbs would be uncomfortable, where my girls are going to school for the 2010/11 school year, the new server installation at Lauren's school, her teacher for next year, the same old same old with school, learning and the lack there of, all the balloons still floating around my house from the party, summer break is just 6 weeks away, SUMMER BREAK...OMG.

SO - I leave you with this:
Should I be scared?

Wordless Wednesday

With all the snow we had this week - Lauren kept saying "I feel like it should be Christmas" me too...I would reply...me too. I do love me a good Christmas!
Any thoughts on this picture?

Wordless Wednesday (you tell the story)

Ok, You're up! Tell me a story about this picture OR why I might have picked this one to post?

(Hint: that is Lauren in there not Hailey)

March 20th 2003 (Wordless Wednesday Follow Up)

Yes, it was March 20th 2003 - 6 years ago almost to the day! and this is how the story goes...

First it rained and rained - for 24 hours it rained - the moisture was wonderful - the rain - not so much.

Then...while we were sleeping:

That rain turned over to snow (March is our snowiest month ya know - but remember this was 6 years ago we have not seen old man winter yet this year!)

We got SO much snow - in places it was taller than me! 5' 4"

and the men had to dig us out. The plows don't come around when we get blizzards only when we get an inch or two. So, we were stuck - litterally - we spent many hours trying to dig out high centered Tahoes (ours) and Hummers (neighbors) to no avail... so the guys decided to snowblow all the way out to the main road (about 1/2 mile) and YUP - KIM you were right - they ran out of gas and my poor little X5 suffered because of it!

When the city finally came through with the plows (4 days later) they made a GIANT mountain of snow in our cul-de-sac and we played in it for weeks! Below is Lauren - Age 3 - in front of the mountain -

Wordless Wednesday (you tell the story)

I just loved reading all the comments last week! I am going to continue on with "you tell the story" again this week!!

So what was going on here?

March 11, 2009

Off to Never Never Land

We can fly, We can fly , We can fly -

Well, maybe not - but some ballerinas will be flying! The oldest ones of course! Tinker Belle and Peter Pan will fly in this fantastic Ballet presented by International Youth Ballet!

Lauren had try outs tonight and she will be a Fairy and a Mermaid!

She is so excited and so are we!

I can not wait for the 4 hour Saturday and Sunday Rehearsals, the late nights just before opening night, the 4 shows in a row with two costume changes each to see Peter Pan the Ballet and Lauren performing in it!

Now on to more pressing business...what was the story?

First let me say one of you actually just about got it spot on right!

No it wasn't those of you who think I write like a 3 year old,

or those who are busying dialing social services right now.

Though Kim could have been right she wasn't -

it was Bonnie - Yes Dear Bonnie you were darn close.

It was Thanksgiving Day 2003, Grandma Mary had come to visit, the turkey was cooking, mom was doing something on her computer for a few minutes, Lauren was watching and a couple minutes later Lauren was snoring!

(oh, and though it may resemble one, that is not a uniform - just a dress!!!)

Wordless Wednesday

You tell the story edition.

I saw on another blog where on Thursdays the Wordless Wednesday pictures were being followed up with the words. So the blogger was posting the whole story behind the picture on Thursday. It got me thinking...It would be fun to see what my commenter's thought the story was behind the picture...so I am going to give a try.

Here is my WW picture:

Now you tell the story!

Confused Ice

On our last trip to the mountains I grabbed a couple of pictures of some very confused icicles!

I almost felt bad for these upside down wonders...

The follow-up version
Last week we brought you the Fat Bottom SnowPerson
We were hoping to repeat that creation this weekend in the mountains but the snow and the plague did not cooperate -

So instead I bring you a SnowWoman a neighboring house had built and left for everyones viewing pleasure:

Wordless Wednesday

These are never truley wordless are they? Oh well.

November 26th 2003 I was proud enough of this to take a picture, January 26th 2009 I found the photo and laughed at myself. Not because I took the picture way back when but rather because 6 years ago was the last time I made a lemon merangue pie. Hmmm.

Wordless Wednesday

Be careful what pictures you let people take of you, they just might find them when they are cleaning out their basement, scan them in their computers and post them on their blogs.

You know who you are!
