The cleaning lady that couldn't clean

This is what happens when you have a more than fabulous cleaning lady for 5 years and she finally graduates from DU and gets herself a better gig, leaving you desperate to find someone just like her to clean your house.

This is what happens when your third try leaves your house after a day of cleaning and you just don't think she does a very good job for the $125 she charges and you decide to run the swiffer on your tile floors

This is how much filth you will see just before you decide to fire her.

The end result won't be pretty because now 3 years later you still don't have a fabulous cleaning lady, you'll still be cleaning the house yourself and you will still be missing fabulous cleaning lady number 1.

I have the best one. I just THANK my lucky stars I found her. I tell everyone I know about her. I hope she keeps cleaning forever. I can NOT imagine my life without her. I hope you find a good one soon! Crossing fingers!

Funny that you posted this today because I am furious that my cleaning person didn't show up today. She is supposedly running late...but considering I need to start making dinner soon, I'm not happy. But since company is arriving tomorrow morning, I still need them to clean!

Wow! I would have fired her too -- that's just ridiculous.

I just found a woman who has cleaned for me twice and I LOVE HER -- and she cleans my whole house for $75 -- and that's five hours of cleaning. She's wonderful!

And usually I'm so picky that I refuse to pay for something that would be less than I do, but I got so sick of cleaning after selling the house, I decided I was taking a break. It's been a real treat for me.

Just keep asking around.

Did you just elect yourself to be the fabulous cleaning lady?

I used to be a cleaning lady! I was for over a year...how three wonderful ladies that I worked for. Unfortunatetly, I had to quit when I fell and broke both bones in my left leg and it took me six months to learn to walk again. I sooo loved it! Funny now though, I am not like I used to be! I need a house keeper now!

We had a great cleaning lady, and we let her go after we finished our degrees thinking we would have tons of time to clean...and then we had a baby. I called her last week and begged her to come back, but she said she was too busy...now I'm on the hunt for another Irma...We should have never let her go -

Yuck...so sorry for your "loss". I know from experience how helpful they are!
