Have you met my brother?

I have mentioned him before...he has even commented a time or two - Brad is my "baby" brother he is 5 years younger than me (bummer) but he is awesome.

He and his wife Anna recently bought a house, on top of a mountain (literally). It is simply beautiful up there and I am so jealous I threatened to put a shack somewhere on his property so I could live their too.

Brad has always been a GQ kind of guy - Armani, Polo - dressed to the T at every turn. He is also a gadget guy - Loves his "toys"

but I wonder if any of us know the REAL Brad?

Beacuse this weekend he had this delievered

and its tires are as big as Hailey

and it sits in his garage next to this

And it makes for great photo opps with the girls...

But something didn't seem right. HIM with TRACTOR?

So we did a little investigating and we found this cozy air cushioned seat inside the cab
and upon closer inspection one can find AC and HEAT controls as well...

You might say this is the GQ Tractor, the BMW of John Deer - whatever you want to call it - my brother owns a tractor and that makes me giggle - but in all fairness to him the GIANT snowblower attachment is going to be a MUST have in the Colorado Mountain winters!

However, I am left wondering if my dad is going to have tractor envy? Because this is his Mtn Property Tractor

Anna and Brad this is for you

When it happened, all I could think about was scenes like this from movies like this..."He who would rather not be named" was kind enough to pull this clip and make it compatible for me so I could have a chuckle or two at your expense.

and for those who don't know the story here is the quick version...they were walking on their new property in the beautiful Colorado mountains when someones foot walked right into a bee hive, swarm, nest ... something of the sort on the ground...and the rest as you can imagine probably went a bit like the above (and there were stings involved)

Kleenex, Mucinex and Plan-ex

We are heading off into yet another round of "Hailey has a cold". Why? You might ask. Well it is simple. We made plans for the girls to spend the night with Grams and Gramps this weekend, that is why. So someone was bound to get sick, will likely pass it on like a hot potatoe and totally blow our plans.

Hailey went to school just fine this morning, got in the car at 11:30 sounding a bit sniffly and a little hoarse, I crossed my fingers chalked it up to allergies and continued with our day...my hopes for "just allergies" decreasing with each passing moment, as her eyes glossed over, her nose started that steady drip we are all too familiar with, her attitude slid down hill and her temperature ran up hill.

Off to bed she went at 5:15, 100.6 fever, crying and otherwise on her way to "coldville" too bad Dr. Seuss never wrote a story about that, or did he? I don't know but it could have gone a little bit like this:

MY CONDOLENCES!!

Today is NOT your day
Your stuck at home
keeping snot at bay

Oh the places you won't go
when your toddler has the sniffles

It's germy in there
in that house of yours
The sneezing the snotting
Are you sure somethings not rotting?

get the Lysol
get the Clorox
Get it on the sofa
get it in a box
I don't care how you get it just get it

OH! THE PLACES YOU WON'T GO!
OH! The things you won't do...

With child on your hip
and whines in your ears
Kleenex in your pocket and

oh what I wouldn't do for a wocket instead!
